  • Lotem 850 Quantum
  • Lotem 400 Quantum

Symptoms

Various image/data artifact shifts, as shown in the following examples:

Cause

Data shifts occur in many ways and include a variety of image artifact shifts. The most recent version of MCE firmware should improve this problem.

Note: Data shift problems is an open issue, and is currently undergoing debugging.

Solution

The following procedure describes how to solve data shift problems:

  1. Make sure the correct software versions are loaded on your machine. For example, the correct software for the Lotem 800 Quantum is:
  1. Check that the TMCE nylon spacer has been installed, as described in Replacing the TMCE Nylon Spacer.
  2. Check that the data cable is properly connected to the TMCE board.
  3. Check all the TMCE board connectors.
  4. Check the TSP cables connection and replace, if necessary. To avoid disturbance, make sure the cables are properly isolated.
  5. Expose the job again. If the job produces good results, the file is not corrupted.
  6. Replace the TMCE, if necessary.
  7. Replace the CA, if necessary.
  8. Replace the data cable, if necessary.
