Background

Diodes that are shipped for testing or replacement must be packaged and shipped in a way that does not damage them.

Procedure

1. Make sure that the following conditions are met:
• The short plug must be sent with the diode
• The diode should be secured to the plate box
• The fiber must be at least 30 cm long
Note: see images following
2. Supply the following information:
• Machine S/N
• L-Box S/N
• Diode P/N
• Diode S/N
• Reason for replacement in the field
• What steps were taken to resolve the problem prior to replacement
• Laser log file
