Symptoms |
When adjusting the focus range for thick plates, the top right screw on the spring jam (spacer) collides with the platesetter mainframe. |
||
Cause |
The top right screw on the spacer sticks out too far and collides with the platesetter mainframe when the optic lens assembly ("telescope") moves away from the drum. |
||
Solution |
To prevent this collision, replace the two 3 mm inside spacers with 4 mm spacers (252-07059A), and replace the right front spacer with a 3 mm spacer (252-07060A) that has a deeper indentation hole for the top screw, as described in the Achieving a Focus Range for Plates with a Thickness of 0.7 to 3.2 mm procedure. |
