Error message 5737: Chiller flow meter indicator is low on Magnus 400

Product

  • Magnus™ 400
  • Magnus 400 Xpose

Component

  • Power element
  • CPC ports
  • Flow tube
  • Flow sensor on the tube (near LDA CPC)
  • LDA driver
  • Chiller
  • LDA head

Error

5737

Symptoms

The chiller is full of coolant but the flow meter indicator remains low.

Cause

Coolant does not reach the LDA head because of a malfunction of one of the components listed earlier.

Solution

  1. Look at the digital readout.
    • Digital readout does not work—the unit is not receiving electricity. Check the connections, power sources, and fuses on the back of the chiller.
    • Digital readout works—proceed to step 2.
  2. Check the flow tubes:
    1. Turn off the power to the device.
    2. Disconnect both flow tubes from the CPC ports on the LDA head and the chiller.
    1. Connect one of the flow tubes between the two CPC ports on the chiller.
    2. Turn on the device and check the flow meter.
      • Flow meter indicator rises—replace the other flow tube.
      • Flow meter indicator does not rise—continue the procedure.
    3. Turn off the device and repeat steps c and d with the other flow tube.
    4. Reconnect each cooling tube between the chiller and the LDA head.
  3. Check the CPC ports on the LDA head:
    1. Turn off the device.
    2. Remove the input CPC port and install a new CPC port.
    3. Turn on the device and check the flow meter.
      • Flow meter indicator rises—the CPC port that you replaced was causing the problem.
      • Flow meter indicator does not rise—continue the procedure.
    4. Repeat steps a–c with the other CPC port.
  4. If the problem persists, replace the external sensor (near the CPC port on the LDA head).
  5. If the problem persists, replace the LDA driver.
  6. If the problem persists, it indicates a problem with the flow sensor inside the chiller, and you must replace the chiller.
  7. If the problem persists, it indicates blockage in the LDA head, and you must replace the LDA head.
