Background

This procedure, (which is part of the platesetter installation procedure) describes how to prepare the TH1.7 and TH2 on a Magnus 800 platesetter.

Procedure

1. Remove the antistatic bag from the thermal head.
   
   
   
   
2. Remove the desiccant bag from the thermal head.
   
   
   
   
3. Remove the thermal head shipping locks, while making sure that none of the spacers fall into the platesetter.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. TH2 only:Install the four spring brackets and four springs onto the TH2.
   1. Install two brackets (290A4A117) onto each side of the TH2. Secure one bracket to the carriage and one bracket to the TH2.
   2. Secure two springs (36B09010) onto each side of the TH2. Attach the springs to the brackets.
