Background |
|
This procedure describes how to activate the optic sensor when using
a third-party unloading conveyor.
|
|
Procedure |
|
- Make a backup of the existing registry.
- Install the Kodak Magnus Controller software. During the installation
process, select the straight conveyor check box.
- When the software has been installed, manually amend the following
conveyor parameter values, located in the Magnus800
registry folder (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Kodak\Magnus800):
- \Platesetter\Unload Conveyor 1 option\MSB IOObjects\DC motors\Unloading
straight conveyor motor\Open to 0.
- \Platesetter\Unload Conveyor 1 option\MSB IOObjects\Detectors\Unloading
front conveyor detector\Open to 1.
- Connect the unloading conveyor cable (220-01341A) to the J7 connector
on the platesetter MSB.
- Locate the optic sensor on the third-party conveyor.

|
Test |
|
Perform the following tests to verify that the
optic sensor recognizes plates on the third-party unloading conveyor.
- Check the unloading process. Make sure the optic sensor recognizes
the plate on the third-party unloading conveyor.
- Leave a plate on the unloading conveyor, and then unload an additional
plate from the drum. Make sure a recovery message is generated, informing
you that there is a plate located on the unloading conveyor, and that
it must be removed before the unloading process can continue.
Important: You may need
to amend both the plate covers time out parameter
and the discover optic sensor parameter.
- Locate the Unloading Conveyor folder (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Kodak\Magnus800\Software
systems\Loading system\Parameters\Unloading Conveyor).
- Amend the msec value of the following parameters:
- Max time for plate to cover Unloading Conveyor exit detector [msec].
- Max time for plate to Discover Unloading Conveyor exit detector
[msec].
