Verifying the position of the service panel safety switch on the Magnus 800 multi-cassette autoloader

Product

  Kodak Magnus 800 multi-cassette autoloader

Background

This procedure describes how to verify whether the service panel safety switch is correctly positioned in relation to the service panel.

Procedure

Verifying whether the safety switch key is centrally aligned with the safety switch

Important: Before beginning this procedure, make sure you have verified the position of the top covers and paper disposal door on the Magnus 800 autoloader.

  1. Remove the service panel from the Magnus multi-cassette autoloader.
  2. Place a strip of masking tape over the safety switch’s entry point.

  3. Install the lower edge of the service panel onto the MCU. There is no need to fully install the panel, because the object of this step is to just close the panel in order to verify the safety switch alignment.
  4. Remove the service panel.
  5. Verify that the punched holes on the masking tape (created by the safety switch key) are located in the center of the safety switch’s entry point.

If the punched holes are not centered, adjust the height of the safety switch (vertical alignment), and/or adjust the position of the safety switch key (horizontal alignment).

Adjusting the height of the safety switch (vertical alignment)

If required, adjust the height of the safety switch until the safety switch key is vertically aligned with the safety switch.

  1. Release, but do not remove the three screws securing the service panel safety switch to the MCU chassis.

  2. Adjust the height of the safety switch.
  3. Repeat the steps for verifying whether the safety switch key is centrally aligned with the safety switch.

Adjusting the position of the safety switch key (horizontal alignment)

If required, adjust the position of the safety switch key until it is horizontally aligned with the safety switch.

  1. Release, but do not remove, the screws securing the safety switch key to the service panel.

  2. Adjust the position of the safety switch key.
  3. Repeat the steps for verifying whether the safety switch key is centrally aligned with the safety switch.
