The power box is located at the front of the machine on the righthand side. It provides safety, environmental and EMC isolations for the base and automatic machines, electronics and electrical control devices. It also provides strain relieved cable entry locations to all electrical devices and sensors.
The power box is constructed of galvanized steel sheet metal and the left side is resistant to high impact.
Access to the power box is available to trained and qualified personnel only. Operators can access the inside of the box to replace components, but only after all electrical power to the box has been disconnected. This is normally done by means of a panel locking device coupled to a power disconnect/connecting switch; before the panel can be opened, the power must be disconnected.
CoolingThe power box is cooled by forced air. The air filter is located at the main cooling air intake.
Air is 'pushed' into the box by the fan and exits at the heat sink side of the drum drive. There are no air openings other than those for forced air cooling.
