Troubleshooting the safety loop: The troubleshooting steps below are in sequencego to the next step if not successful.
- Check loop5A on PDB0 J30 (located inside the power box). There is a cable coming from J30 with four pin (Loop 5A) and
two pin (Loop5) connectors.
On the four pin connector, check the resistance between pins 1&2, 3&4, and 1&4 (or use a temporary jumper) and
check the status of the safety looptype >> safety.
See the wiring diagram - sheet 7.
- Check if the carriage plunger switch can be triggered. Adjust the carriage plunger switch bracket to be furthest
away from the carriage as possible. The switch bracket may need to be replaced to accomodate adjustment. See Replacing the Carriage Plunger Switch Bracket
for details.

- Check the cable that goes to pins 6&7 on the machine bulkhead (the bulkhead connector is located on the frame below
the air supply filters).
See the wiring diagram - sheet 21.
- Check cable (220-00452A) that goes from the machine bulkhead to a four pin connector on PDB1 J40 (located inside the MCU).
Check the resistance between pins 1&2 (or use a temporary jumper) and check the status of the safety looptype >> safety.
See the wiring diagram - sheet 17.
- Check Loop5 on PDB0 J30. Check the resistance between pins 1&2 on the two pin connector (or use a temporary jumper) and
check the status of the safety looptype >> safety.
- Check cable (220-00375A) that goes to the front hood unlock solenoid.
- Check the front hood unlock solenoid.
- Check omron switches SW12 and SW13.
- Check PDB0 or PDB1.
