Description

This release includes Print Console 3.4.2.5. Print Console build 5 changes only affect NEWS devices with rotator unload tables. A manually loaded plate will now use correct rotation settings when automatically unloaded. All other components of this Controlled Release are the same as Trendsetter NEWS MCE CR2.1.

Major fixes and features

A manually loaded plate on a Trendsetter NEWS with rotator will now use the correct rotation settings when automatically unloaded.

Time and Order to install and/or upgrade from previous release

Install in the order given. Total time - 2 hours (minimum).
Before you begin, review the Dependencies and the readme.txt file in the CR2.1 folder.

Task Time
Install or upgrade Service Shell - needed for checking head/mce f/w versions and for downloading the new f/w.
  • After installing the SS client, start the version checker applet.
  • If the system is pre-configured, version checking begins automatically.
  • Click Config. A dialog box prompts you for the controlled release config file.
  • Browse to the VersionConfig folder on the controlled release CD, select the version config file, and click Evaluate > Yes.
  • If a dialog box indicates that the device is not yet configured with controlled release version information, select Configure System > Next. Browse to the VersionConfig folder on the controlled release CD, select the version config file, and click Finish.

Check that device and all applications are functional including load/unload of small/medium/large size media 15 minutes
