Keeps the plate tight against the drum during plate loading and
unloading
Single-piece steel shaft covered with polyurethane rubber
The speed and force of the cylinders are controlled by flow restictors
and regulators, respectively. The regulators prevent excess force from
bowing the roller during load or unload.
The roller assembly is attached in middle slot of backbone mounts behind
drum. The pneumatic cylinders attached to mounts
For proper plate handling, the drum roller must turn freely. Any binding
or tightness in the bearing block or ball joints causes the roller to
scuff the plate during loading or unloading. Severe binding in the
roller can cause plates to pull out of the LECs during load, or folding
during unload.
Pneumatic cylinders (55-0057 to actuate the backbone
One 11/16" x 1¼" cylinder on each clamp cylinder assembly
and attached to the backbone by rod ends
Adjust timing with flow control valves.
Adjust down pressure with regulators.
