Problem	The purpose of the CreoScitex U.S. Patent label is to provide extra coverage for all CS devices. Without the label, any infringement on the patent will still be covered, but with the label displayed in a visible spot, under U.S. patent law, the damages awarded are triple.

Procedure	For location, see Location of patent labels (ECO D973).
Action required	The next shipment of service CDs on April 3, 2001 will contain the patent labels and photos showing where to put the labels. Apply to all output devices and heads on next visit.
