Provides the interface between the Master Processor Electronics (MPE) and the engine stepper drivers, home/away boards, plate sensors, and actuators. The ESE board communicates with the MPE via a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) cable.
Located on the engine, behind the drive end side clamp plate.The engine satellite board can be used with both the VLF Platesetter and the Trendsetter VLF.
