Component

New Regulator
Problem Regulator not stable.
Solution(s) Add a small hose to stabilize the regulator. This changes the natural frequency of the regulator allowing the 'cal pressure' routine to be successful and consistent.
Parts needed Kit 05-2031
Tools needed n/a
Procedure Installation:
  1. Locate the port marked 'PE' and remove the brass fitting carefully. Some regulators will not have a fitting in this port.
  2. Install fitting (55-0795 ) into the port marked 'PE'. DO NOT over-tighten to orient it - there is a danger that it will break off. Back it off to get it pointing the right way (it is OK if it leaks).
  3. Attach the cable tie anchor to the rear of the regulator casting.
  4. Connect the blue hose to the fitting and coil it behind the regulator.
  5. Use a cable tie to attach the coiled hose to the anchor. DO NOT over-tighten the cable tie - the hose must be able to vent. Refer to the photos and drawing (50-2367B) below.

DWG 50-2367B

  1. After installing the blue hose, you must run 'cal pressure' again. See Calibrating Pressure Sensors.
