Creo’s Trendsetter VLF Autoloader provides modular low cost automation to the new and retrofit market of the Trendsetter VLF. The Autoloader components are a Single Cassette Unit or Multiple Cassette Unit, slipsheet removal, and a straight conveyor or L-conveyor.

The base Trendsetter VLF is upgraded to an Autoloader by extending the table and adding a picker, a track, a new p-door assembly with a y-axis, a new hood, and a guard rail.

General Pick, Fetch and Eject Sequence Flowcharts

The flowcharts below show the firmware steps during picking, fetching, and ejecting a plate at verbose level 4. The flowcharts show a typical sequence and are for general reference only. For troubleshooting, capture a log file from the Trendsetter in question.

• Fetching a Plate

 Fetch is the process of the picker moving the picked plate across the load table into a position centered on the registration pins, the y-axis moving out to grab onto it and pull it to the plate door, then the picker returning to its home position. Any slipsheet that is lying on the table will be detected and removed at this stage as well.
• Ejecting a Plate

 Eject is the process of the picker pushing an imaged plate from the unload table to the conveyor.
• Fetching and Ejecting a Plate Simultaneously

 Fetch-Eject is the combined process of the picker moving a picked plate from the edge of the load table to the plate door while at the same time pushing an imaged plate from the unload table to the conveyor.

• The Trendsetter VLF Autoloader non-Quantum is in Full Production.
• The V2.8 Thermal Head is in Full Production on VLF devices.
