The ThermoFlex TIFF FE software replaces the TIFF Front End and TIFF Front End Lite software applications.
The Kodak® ThermoFlex® TIFF FE software is a front end application that enables you to receive files, arrange separations and expose flexographic plates. ThermoFlex TIFF FE supports the following devices:
ThermoFlex TIFF FE connects to the ThermoFlex controller software via TCP/IP and TSP (ThermoFlex Mid/Narrow) or SCSI (ThermoFlex Wide and Trendsetter NX Narrow/Mid) cable connections, and supports 1-bit TIFF workflows.
ThermoFlex TIFF FE accepts TIFF files from Kodak Prinergy® software, Kodak Prinergy Evo™ software and any 3rd party vendor, and submits them directly to the device. ThermoFlex TIFF FE can also accept and translate LEN files (from Esko-Graphics) to TIFF files.
In the ThermoFlex TIFF FE software, you set up hot folders to automate the workflow, and define template parameters such as image position, scale, and rotation.
The TIFF Assembler Plus software is automatically installed with the ThermoFlex TIFF FE software. You use the TIFF Assembler Plus software to preview your TIFF files and arrange them on a layout automatically or manually.
You use the ThermoFlex TIFF FE Production Manager to manage the exposure queue.
The Create Media Report feature enables you to generate a report that provides information on the plates that were exposed, including: Step & Repeat, number of copies, charged or non-charged materials, and wasted and reusable waste material.
