Kodak® Xpo version 3.2.41 software serves
as a direct pipeline between the workflow software (such as Kodak Prinergy®
or Prinergy Evo software), and a platesetter or Spectrum device (such as Magnus
800, Magnus 400 Quantum, Lotem 800 Quantum, Lotem 800 II, Lotem 400 Quantum,
or Lotem 800 Quantum with Spectrum, Lotem 800 II with Spectrum).
Xpo software directly connects the workflow software and the platesetter through
the Generic Device Application Programming Interface (GDAPI). In this workflow,
Xpo runs in the background. The workflow software defines and RIPs the job data,
and then sends it via Xpo directly to the platesetter.
Xpo software can also serve as independent software for the exposure of 1-bit TIFF files on a platesetter. In this workflow, you use Xpo hot folders to send 1-bit TIFF files, such as stripped and tiled TIFF, TIFFG4, TIFF LZW, and TIFF Packbit bitmap files directly to the platesetter. In Xpo, you set up hot folders to automate the workflow and define template parameters, such as device and media settings, exposure settings, image position, punch and rotation. You also submit jobs and manage the exposure queue via the Xpo Production Manager. You access all of the Xpo options and utilities from the Xpo palette.
Xpo 3.2.41 software (plus update 02) is currently in EP.
