Using a service dongle

To use the service dongle for Creo Feature Licensing, you will need to:

• Enable a USB port on the device workstation, if necessary.
  See Dell Hardware Configuration - Enabling USB Ports for details.
• Install Microsoft^® .NET Framework 1.1 on your laptop. NET 1.1 is required for Service Dongle Manager even if NET 2.0 is already installed.
• Install Service Dongle Manager on your laptop.
  Never install Service Dongle Manager on a customer machine.
  Service Dongle Manager is required for service dongle renewal.
• Install CFL Server from the applicable Controlled Release on your laptop.
  CFL server is required to run service-licensed tools on your laptop (for example, accessing Service Shell 2.6 SP1 and above).
