Problems downloading? More...

If your file does not open correctly after downloading: breaks in data transmission during file transfers are common when network traffic is high. A break and subsequent restart may cause an error at the restart point, which results in a corrupt transfer. The end result is a file that does not open or run correctly. For example, *.exe files may not run, *.pdfs may not open, and *.zip files may be reported as invalid archives. The simplest solution is to retry downloading the file. If the problem persists, try to download the file when network traffic is lighter.

Microsoft® .NET Framework Both .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0 must be installed for the full licensing mechanism to work. The server component requires 1.1, and the Service Dongle Manager component requires 2.0. The two .NET versions are independent—later versions do not replace earlier versions. .NET Framework 1.1

Scripts

Name Description Download
Configuration checker script Run this script remotely to verify a device license. Running the script remotely saves time by allowing you to take any required actions before a site visit. You must have Service Shell 2.6 or 3.0 that includes commonutilities.inc version 1.82 and higher.
  1. Copy the Configuration checker script into ServiceShell\Scripts\device on your laptop (if running the script remotely) or on the device workstation (if running the script on site).
  2. Start Service Shell.
  3. Copy the device pre-generated license from CTP feature licensing generator and paste it into a text file named licenseTEST.txt.
  4. Make sure that you do not have a file called C:\Creo\FeatureLicensing\Database\license.xml on the computer running the script.
  5. In Service Shell, use Device Scripts to run the script.
  6. When the script runs (if license.xml does not exist in the location mention above), the script will prompt you to specify the license file.
Select the licenseTEST.txt text file that you saved above.
The script compares the current device configuration with the pre-generated license and reports any errors or warnings.
  7. In case of errors, copy and paste the output from the script window and escalate it to the PD-PSM/PSS.
NOTE: Any errors reported identify that an option currently activated in the firmware is not present in the license. All pre-generated licenses are based on SAP sales order information (as the device was shipped and later upgraded). If there are errors, contact the local District Manager and the Product Manager to understand the discrepancies. A new license will not be generated unless there is a sales order agreement associated with it.
