Symptoms

Banding on press

Cause

GDAPI jobs sent to Print Console 2.1.1.24 do not trigger a stroke shift, which  shifts the laser's stroke between separations to eliminate banding on press.

Solution

Download Print Console 2.1.1.24 patch 6 (also available as version 2.1.4.25 for new installations), which allows GDAPI jobs to trigger a stroke shift. This patch is available on the Print Console Downloads page.

Note that TIFF jobs sent to Print Console 2.1.1.24 trigger a stroke shift and do not have this problem.
