Print Console 3.x | ||

Symptoms |
The stitch line appears on plates. See an example of this problem in the artifact gallery. |
||
Cause |
The stitch line appears because of redundant data on either side of the stitch line. This is caused by a limitation in the TIFF Downloader in Print Console 3.x that rounds down margins, crops, and shifts to the nearest multiple of 8 pixels. The rounding problem affects only 0° and 180° TIFF Downloader rotation settings selected in Print Console. With 0° or 180° rotation, TIFF Downloader introduces rounding errors on the subscan dimension, which is where the stitching occurs. |
||
Solution |
The Print Console development team is working on a solution. Until a solution is available, avoid 0° and 180° rotation for panorama plates that require TIFF splitting. Use 90° and 270° rotation. |
