Troubleshooting safety loop errors
[03553]"Safety loop fault has been detected" and [03573]"A safety loop fault is preventing normal operation"

Product

  • Thermal 2 head
  • Lotem® Quantum

Background

Use this procedure if errors [03553] or [03573] occur. These errors may have different causes.

Note: If a WLP burst error occurs, see Troubleshooting WLP burst errors.

Requirements

Procedure

The safety lines in a thermal 2 head require 24 volts. Normally the output device provides this voltage. This voltage is interrupted when a door or panel is opened or when a safety condition is broken.

You must differentiate between an expected safety loop interruption and a faulty element. Faulty elements may be:

  • 24-V power supply
  • Interlock switches
  • Interlock board
  • Relays
  • Cable to the head
  • Thermal 2 head
