One-pixel horizontal artifact when using command line plots from Service Shell with GMCE

Product

Thermal 2 head

Component

All GMCE devices with Thermal 2

Symptoms

One-pixel horizontal lines appear randomly through the image.

Cause

Using command line plots instead of the Test Plot Applet (TPA) causes this artifact.
This is because GMCE internal test plots do not have geometric correction applied.

Solution

Use the Test Plot Applet for running plots. Use the Test Plot Applet for any plots that, in the past, would have been done with internal plots.

Note: Only use command line plots when you are debugging a potential problem and you need to image without using TPA.

Note: TPA does not work remotely.
