While attempting to maintain the laser power, the laser power control loop has found that there is insufficient signal from the laser diode sensor. As a result of this error, a fatal fault will be generated from a single occurence. As a result of the fatal fault, the laser diode driver is shutdown and the system fault handler will shutdown the exposure head. Note that this error code is also returned to the host as an unsolicited fatal fault.

| Note that before initiating the laser power control loop, the laser current is ramped to the estimated setpoint. As a result, a single occurrence of this error will trigger the fatal fault.
