Thermal3 Parameter
bbs maximumerror

Description Configures the maximum allowable error for the beam-balance. The maximum allowable error will cause the beam-balance to fail for two possible reasons.

First, the beam-balance will determine the pulse heights at the maximum light level and the minimum light level. The target profile is calculated based on the beam slope, beam curve and scorr table for the selected media. If the range of pulse heights prevents achieving the target profile within the maximum allowable error, then the beam-balance fails.

Second, the beam-balance will perform a coarse balance and calculate the pulse heights. If the profile error ( the target profile minus the pulse heights at the coarse balance ) exceeds the maximum allowable error, then the beam-balance will perform a fine balance and re-calculate the pulse heights. If the profile error ( the target profile minus the pulse heights at the fine balance ) exceeds the maximum allowable error after six fine balance iterations, then the beam-balance fails.

Type Real
