Troubleshooting SPAWNDAEMON Install Script
This is a brief summary of the errors and problems we encountered so far when installing RSSDaemon in the field. If you encounter a problem that is not listed here or you have some questions or concerns, please contact Sinisa.Nojkovic@creo.com.

REASON: Nothing is wrong. The script is trying to copy the files onto themselves at the local server. Just ignore.
Wrong server name problem

POSSIBLE REASON: Wrong server names. Try using IP addresses instead.
Account information or permissions problem

POSSIBLE REASON: Wrong password or account information. Try an alternate account instead (e.g. if administrator/creo combination does not work try creoservice/pathfinder instead). Another cause of this error could be that the account you are attempting to use doesn't have "Log on as service" rights assigned. To address this issue try using an alternate user account (we noticed that creoservice account typically does not have this problem). Otherwise you will have to change it in the windows setup. To do this you need to do this:
Win2K. Go to Start, Run and type "secpol.msc". Under Security Settings navigate to Local Policies\User Rights Assignments. In the right pane you will see "Log on as a service". Double-click and add the user account that will be starting the service. Close the policy setting and in the left pane right-click security settings and select 'Reload'. Close the Local Security Settings window.
NT4 Go to Start, Run and type "usrmgr". When User Manger opens select "Polices" from the menu bar and then "User Rights". Check the "Show Advanced User Rights" box. From the drop down list select "Log on as a service" and add the user account that will be starting the service. Select 'OK" and close the windows.

POSSIBLE REASON: Account does not exist. Try creating the required Windows User Account.
STILL HAVING PROBLEMS
If none of these are helpful then please see the ReadMe.html document in the RSSDaemon folder which has more details regarding installs and how to do manual installs/uninstalls. If you are still having problems re-run the spawndaemon command that gave you the errors but add this to the end of the command “> install.log”. (eg. Spawndaemon ARAXI ARAXI SERVER_A SERVER_B > Install.log) Send a report just like above but in the subject line put FAILED instead of success and attach the install.log file.
