Legato 5.1-002 Patch Installation

Installing Legato 5.1-002 Patch

To install Legato 5.1-002 patch – follow these steps:

  1. Go to the root directory and create a new directory, e.g. /dataVolumes/rtest10.2.0/legato
  2. NetWorker needs to be shut down before the installation of the new patch. Execute "nsr_shutdown -a" to stop the running of any daemons.

Verify with the "ps" command that no other NetWorker binaries are running.

  1. Copy "Patch_aix_ 5.1-002.tar.Z" and the installation script "InstallPatch" into the new directory.

# mount /mnt

# cd /mnt/legato

# cp * /dataVolumes/rtest10.2.0/legato

# cd /dataVolumes/rtest10.2.0/legato
  1. Execute the installation script.

# InstallPatch.aix aix

  1. Make sure the permissions and the owner for the file are correct:
The permission for savegrp and save: 4755
The permission for other files: 755
The owner: root
