Adaptec 2906 SCSI card

Problem

When connected to the scanner, the Mac tends to lock up during the boot sequence (loading of extensions). The Mac will only boot if the Shift key is held down (that is, with extensions disabled). If the scanner is then turned on after booting up, it can be seen in the Scitex SCSI utility, but not the Adaptec SCSI probe.

Permanent Fix

Download and install the new Adaptec 2906 driver v12. This driver has added support for G4 features. Expand the driver with Stuffit Expander, available on the Downloads page.
