Antivirus Recommendations | Microsoft Security Updates
Kodak strongly recommends that the customer install Symantec® AntiVirus software on their workflow servers. Refer to the Symantec AntiVirus page for workflow virus policies and recommendations. Kodak tests and supports Symantec AntiVirus on Microsoft® Windows Server® 2000 and Windows Server® 2003 operating systems.
We recommend the following for securing a Kodak workflow server:
Kodak workflow servers must be configured with the latest Microsoft security updates. You can either:
See Configuring Kodak Workflow Servers for Windows Updates | Japanese for instructions on setting up or modifying how the security updates are installed.
Go to the Windows 2003 Downloads page or the Windows 2000 Downloads page to obtain the Prinergy WSUS Configuration Tool (KodakWfUpdates.exe)
We also recommend changing the passwords on servers in the same subnet, so that local user accounts with shared permissions have different passwords. This is because some viruses spread by accessing shared accounts with the same password. The Araxi service is an example of a user name and password that will typically need to be changed.
