PSN 226 update
The following information is in addition to the previously posted PSN 226 which describes problems when RIPing documents in PS3 that contain color profiles from Adobe Photoshop.
The is an Adobe User Group Newsletter which containing the article "Photoshop Postscript Colour Management, What is it ? How to use it?". This article explains the use of Photoshop Postscript Colour Management, which, as you will see was designed to be used with desktop color printers or proofing devices. Product Support has received many calls regarding this issue and customers concern on the resulting color changes after RIPing in PS3 (Extreme). It is important to remember that the Brisque Extreme RIP is operating in the correct way by obeying these settings in Photoshop. The colour change is due to the incorrect use of this function by the customer creating the Image in Photoshop.
As previously explained, Creo will add an option to the next version of Brisque Software to allow the customer to choose to ignore these Adobe Photoshop settings. This function is being added to improve the PS3 and Extreme workflow and is not being added because of a Brisque problem or Limitation, as the Brisque RIP is operating correctly by using these Color Profiles.
