Requirements

Procedure

Brisque Mount.jar  is a Creo Java application that enables you to complete an NFS mount of Brisque volumes (or any unix volumes) on a Macintosh OSX system.

Before starting:

Check that the Mac OSX is in the Brisque's host name list. If it is not in the Brisque host name list, you need to add it to the list, otherwise you receive a "permission denied" message.

On the Brisque, to define a Mac OSX address:

  1. From the Brisque launch pad, double-click on Smit.
  2. Log in:
    username:root
    password:ripro
  3. In the System management dialog box, select the following options:
    System management
    Communication application and services
    TCP/IP
    Further configuration
    Name resolution
  4. List hosts ( if your Mac is listed )

  5. If the Mac OSX is not listed, select Add a host name.
  6. In the Add a host name dialog box, type the Macintosh OSX TCP/IP address and name.
  7. Select List hosts to check that your Macintosh OSX system is listed.

On the Mac OSX:

  1. Double-click on the Brisque Mount.jar file to open the Brisque MountWizard dialog box.
The Mount tab displays the following two boxes:
    • Mount Node: mounts the Brisque volume.
    • Mount Over: enables you to select the folder on the Mac where you can see the Brisque volume.
  2. Select the Mount Node Browser button.

A list of network hosts should appear.

  3. If your network host is an IP address, in the Mount Node box, type the Brisque IP address and volume path.
  4. If your network host is the name of the Brisque, select the Mount Node Browser button and select the correct Brisque name and volume from the list of network hosts.
  5. If the host does not appear, it might because the host is connected via a HUB.
    1. In the Mount Node box, type the host name:
      :/path or IP address:/path

      For example, inkpro:/dataVolumes/inkpro.1.0/

  6. In the Mount Over box, select the Browser button.
  7. In the Open dialog box, select the Macintosh folder where the Brisque mount will be seen.
  8. Select the Choose button.
  9. Select the Mount button.
  10. After selecting the Mount button, click on the Macintosh Desktop and the mounted volume folder will appear.
