Product

  • Brisque 5.0/5.1 software
  • Brisque 4.0/4.1 software
  • Brisque 3.x
  • Brisque Serve
  • Timna

Platform

All Brisque 3.x, 4.x and 5.x platforms

Operating system

IBM AIX 4.2.1, 4.3.3, 5.2

Solution

Samba is currently supported in the following versions of Brisque, Brisque Serve and Timna:

  • Timna—all versions
  • Brisque Serve—all versions
  • Brisque software—version 3.x, version 4.0, version 4.1, version 5.0 and version 5.1 (IBM AIX 4.2.1, 4.3.3, 5.2)

The operating system versions listed above have all been tested, and they run successfully in the field.

Samba installation is the same for all operating systems, except Brisque 5.0 and Brisque 5.1, where Samba is already included in the software.

Automatic shares are only created for Brisque 5.0. For all other versions, shares need to be created manually.

Note: If you need to manually configure shares in Brisque 5.0, you need to modify the smb.conf file. See AraxiVolume shares that are created with SWAT are deleted at every CDESCI login.

In Brisque 5.1, shares are manually created in the file system or in the folder level, same as creating shares in a Windows system.
