Note: To properly set up the Iris43WIDE so that it can take HP-RTL data from Prinergy via a network connection, you are strongly advised to read Prinergy and the Iris43WIDE.
Performance can vary considerably due to the ability to output either 360 or 720 dpi, at draft or normal output. One method can involve two passes of the head, and the other method can involve eight passes.
For best image quality from Prinergy or Prinergy Evo, set the front panel resolution setting to 720 dpi and the Quality/Speed setting to Quality. Also, ensure that the process plan is outputting at 720 dpi and the Iris firmware is set to 720 dpi. A Harmony curve to cut back on the ink levels will eliminate any ink saturation problems, except where spot colors are used. Kodak ships the default Harmony curve grayscaleHP1050.hmy. This curve is a good starting point for the Iris.
