| NOTES: This is a contract halftone proofer that outputs at 2000 dpi. It is recommended that the Prinergy system be upgraded to patch #69 at least in order to properly support this unusual dpi requirement. For best output results (i.e. least amount of banding), use the SQUARE or SQUARE1 dot. | |
| What type of proofer is this? | |
| This is a halftone contract proofer, similar to the Kodak XP2. Note that while it can output at 4000 dpi, it is only qualified for 2000 dpi from Prinergy. Output type from Prinergy is EPS raster, screened with the SQUARE or SQUARE1 dot. Media size of this proofer is 23.6" by 27.2". | |
| Connectivity: | |
| Dainippon Screen uses Harlequin OEM rips, so expect to use hot folders. | |
| Performance: | |
| Unknown. | |
| Usage: | |
| Japs-Olson, a Prinergy customer, is known to have a TrueRite proofer. They are satisfied with the Prinergy connectivity. | |
| Limitations: | |
| Not qualified for 4000 dpi output. Some banding noticed in qualifications tests, but later traced back to machine limitations. | |
