Error |

Symptoms |
When trying to open a PDF in Workshop on the Mac, you get the error: "There is no MAC share at or above the directory level of the file location". Error: could not find file \\SERVERNAME\AraxiVolume_Prepress-2SERVERNAME \Jobs\jobname\system\subpages\filename The error message claims that the share isn't mounted, even though it is. If you drill down through the mounted drive, you are able to find the file and open it. Files are on a tertiary. |
Cause |
There are two possible causes: 1) The tertiary server needs to be added to SFMHOSTS<APPLETALKZONE:NTServerNameAsSeenInChooser>=<NTSERVERNAME>. This is case sensitive. 2) The primary server is unable to access the registry on the tertiary server to translate the Mac path to an NT path. |
Solution |
For cause #1: - Change the settings in the SFMHosts file to match the names perfectly (case-sensitive). For cause #2: - Ensure the tertiary server has the same user account/password as the user account used by the Araxi service on the primary server( the Araxi service typically uses the ARAXI user account). The user account on the tertiary must be a member of the Administrators group. Restart Prinergy after you have added the account or changed the permissions to the user account on the tertiary.
