Symptoms |
A Photoshop grayscale EPS file is saved with “PostScript Color Management enabled. The refined file is incorrectly separated into CMY (instead of Separation/Black) when Color Convert is enabled. Disabling Color Convert leaves the grayscale information intact. |
Cause |
The problem is caused by the PostScript Color Management setting in Photoshop. Color Convert correctly interprets the tags buried in the PDF to indicate PS Color Management, and treats them in a similar fashion to the case where an ICC profile has been tagged to the image. | |

Solution |
The solution is to disable the "PostScript Color Management" option when you are saving the EPS from Photoshop. If you disable this option, Photoshop will not save the additional PS color management information. Note that this option is only available in Photoshop 5.0 or later. Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0 |
