Lotem Quantum Version Summary

All Quantum firmware versions are 'even' numbered (eg. 1.20 or 1.36) - if you manage to find an odd numbered version of firmware then please replace it with an even numbered release.  Odd numbers are reserved for engineering development and the firmware will not be supported in the field.  Odd numbering is valid in patch releases (ie. 1.20.01 is valid because the main version 1.20 is even).

Each Quantum firmware set contains all the firmware files that are used on the TMCE board in the machine. 

Please use Service Shell to upgrade (or downgrade) firmware.

1.32.03 contains numerous changes over the previous versions. The changes are too numerous to list here.
1.28.05 Released   May 15, 2003 This is part of the 3.75.01 bundle.

 

Bugs Fixed since 1.28.02

  • Internal Plots 117 and 127 have been fixed
  • Properly updates the gc sshift parameter when upgrading from an older version in the 1.20.xx range.
  • "Edge detect only if required" argument is now properly supported

Known Bugs:

  • Massive timing shift problem.
  • For Spectrum devices, the media thickness is incorrectly determined for the first plot after switching between plates and proofs.
1.28.02 NOT Released   March 11, 2003 This was a temporary version and has been superceded.

Bugs Fixed:

  • Edge Detection fixed to work with Spectratech Plates
  • Supports Staccato plots from Brisque
  • Increased minimum on-plate distance to reduce focus problems
  • Unexpected SCSI interrupts no longer occur
1.28 NOT Released   February 5, 2003 This was a temporary version and has been superceded.

Features Include:

  • Entry Level Head Support
  • New Series Script
  • Line of Asterisks output to diagnostics at the beginning of each workstation plot to aid in searching log files.
  • "Media x" command fixed up to only update the selected media if command is successful.
  • Hotlink Built-In Self Test enabled
  • Diagnostic jumbling fixed (mainly applies to scripts)
  • "Proof load" command added to simplify diagnostic testing
  • Thermal Head Parameters now only available through monitor re-direction
  • Dongle no longer required.
