Command: stroke cal

Description:

Sets the stroke values for all pixel pairs in the stroke so that the power measured by the nose piece sensor matches as closely as possible the target light level calculated for each channel by taking into account the hdm NVS parameters "bmslope" and "bmcurve" as well as the scorr table for the current media. Setting the stroke table involves multiple measurements of the same kind as used for the command "stroke profile". To compare the measured light levels with the target light level for each channel use the command "head power all".

The resulting stroke table should be saved so that it is not lost upon reset.

The laser must be turned on before this command may be used. It is important to let the nose piece detector warm up with the laser on. The built in warm up time before the measurement starts is set by the hdp NVS parameter "brt".

Stroke cals are automatically done provided the sys NVS parameter "tstk" is not equal to 0 upon reset, power up or expiration of the stroke cal timer.
