Error Number: 15285

Error Message:

ALE: Plate smaller than expected. Device is unable to unload this plate safely. Please remove plate from drum.

Applies to:

  • Trendsetter_400/800_Auto
  • Trendsetter_NEWS

Operator Action:

The Trendsetter tried to load a plate that was much smaller than it expected. Open the machine's front panel and remove the plate which is on the drum. Select 'Plate Removed' to continue. Make sure the correct sized plates are loaded in the bay.

Service Information:

While loading a plate, the device measured a plate that was smaller than expected. The drum was stopped, but the plate had been wound too far, possibly past the roller. The device cannot safely unload this plate back up the load ramp, so it must be removed manually.

This error is most likely due to the operator using the wrong plate size.

If this error occurs with a plate of the correct size, then the load ramp sensor may not be working properly. Check the "al soff" parameter. It can be calibrated with the "load cal" command. If this fails, use "set al lps 0" in diagnostic monitor to bypass the sensor to get the customer going and arrange for field service.

The sensor status can be read with the "ramp" command.

Cause:

  • Wrong sized plate specified. #Cause The load plate sensor is damaged or misaligned.
  • The load ramp sensor was not calibrated properly.
