Error Message:

ALE: Plate smaller than expected. To try another plate, press Resume.

Operator Action:

Remove the plate on the load ramp and click the "RESUME" button. The Trendsetter will then beep, indicating that it is ready for a new plate. Load a correct-sized plate at this time and hit the load button.

Service Information:

This error will only come up when a plate is loaded through manual-bypass.

If this error occurs with a plate of the correct size, then the load ramp sensor may not be working properly. Check the "al soff" parameter. It can be calibrated with the "load cal" command. If this fails, use "set al lps 0" in diagnostic monitor to bypass the sensor to get the customer going and arrange for field service.

The sensor status can be read with the "ramp" command.

Cause:

• Wrong plate size loaded.
• The load plate sensor is damaged or misaligned.
• The load ramp sensor was not calibrated properly.
