| Dolev 4press - Assemblies Dynamic Optics
Overview
The Dynamic Optics Assembly is located at the heart of the Imagesetter, residing on a carriage which travels along the V-block in the Imagesetter drum. The Dynamic Optics Assembly moves and directs the laser beam during the exposure process. The following parts of the Dynamic Optics Assembly can be serviced or replaced:
Disassembly
The Assembly is heavy; ensure that it does not collide with anything as you remove it. Rest the optics carriage on a large, stable object nearby, such as a table. AssemblyReverse the disassembly procedure described above. Spinner MotorIn the Dynamic Optics Assembly. Operates the Spinner on which the Pentaprism resides. Contains encoder that reports Spinner revolutions to the HOMC and CRI boards. LDT (Light Detector)OverviewThe light detector is located on the Dynamic Optics Carriage. It is used to measure the intensity of laser light being emitted during calibration or exposure. The light detector may periodically require cleaning. It may require replacement if damaged. Attention: You do not need to disassemble the Dynamic Optics Assembly in order to access the light detector. The LDT BoardIn the Dynamic Optics Assembly. Measures light intensity from the Pentaprism and reports to the HOMC. Receives intensity scale data from the HOMC during calibration. Disassembly
CleaningTo clean the light detector: Remove it from the Imagesetter, as described in the disassembly procedure. AssemblyReverse the disassembly procedure described above. Film BowThe film bow is attached to the Dynamic Optics Carriage. It is used to guide film through the Imagesetter drum during film loading and unloading. The film bow must be replaced when a bar punch system is installed (Dolev 4press only). |
