Procedures for installation of the punch system are comprised of the following activities. The approximate duration of each activity is also given:

Activity Duration
  1. Host software and hardware compatibility verification, and hardware upgrade.
 1/2 hour
  1. Compressed air supply system installation
 1 to 2 hours
  1. Machine covers removal.
 1 hour
  1. Punch assemblies installation.
 6 hours
  1. Punch assemblies final adjustment.
 3 to 4 hours
  1. Compressed air tube and slug system installation, electrical wire final routing, and final speed adjustments.
2 to 3 hours
  1. Repeatability and registration test plots.
 1 to 2 hours
  1. Image offsets setup in accordance with customer-approved layout.
 1 hour
  1. Machine covers re-installation.
 1 to 2 hours
  1. Repeatability and registration final test plot.
