Considerable time can be saved by performing the
following steps at the CreoScitex office, prior to travelling to the customer
site.
Check the punch order thoroughly. Ensure that all ordered
items are present and are exactly the proper assemblies. Hand-label the punches as P1,
P2.., and so on, according to the labeling of the punch holes in the customer- approved
layout.
Identify the punch assemblies according to their description,
as in the following examples:
PUNCH ASSY 5x9 OVAL-R:
Right design;
hole shape is 5x9 mm oval.
PUNCH ASSY 12.7 ROUND-BIG: Big design; hole shape is a 12.7 round
hole.
PUNCH ASSY 1/4" x 3/8"
Left design; hole shape is a 1/4" x 3/8" oval,
OVAL-90* ROT-L
rotated 90 degrees.
The suffix R, L or B in the punch hole labeling (P2L, P5B, etc.) refers to the
design sub-type, i.e., Right, Left or Big.
If the customer ordered a non-standard punch assembly, spare
parts should also be present in the kit: one (1) spare punch for every three (3) or less
punch assemblies of the same hole shape.
Proceed with the installation only if you have
all required punch assemblies according to the layout. Do not change anything
in the layout without first consulting the CreoScitex specialist. Changes
in the layout may cause problems during installation, resulting in excessive
work.
Except for Steps 1 and 2 of Section 2.5, Punch Assemblies
Installation, all subsequent activities must be performed at the customer site.
