Repeatability and Registration

1. Perform several test plots. Choose from the customer's flat files and plot all four separations. Check the registration quality. Use the imprinted registration marks to ensure that registration is better than 30 microns.
   
   
2. Examine the output films for scratches around the punch holes on both sides of the film.
   
   
3. Examine the films for oil marks around the punch holes. Run the punch rod in and out several times to get rid of oil marks.
   
   
4. Check that the film is completely free from ripples when it is mounted on the customer's pinbar.
   
   
5. Perform two identical plots and compare them for differences.
   
   
6. Perform two additional plots of the same file; the first plot using air pressure of 6.5 atm, and the second plot using 5.5 atm. Check for imaging repeatability relative to the punch holes. In all cases, registration should be within 30 microns.
