Background

This procedure describes how to install Dolev TiffExpose.

This procedure includes the following sections:

• Installing DTE
• Installing diagnostics
• Running diagnostics

Requirements

• Workstation with Windows NT 4 with Service Pack 6a installed
• DBI or LP-2000 board
• One free PCI slot
• Dolev TiffExpose (DTE) software version 2 CD
  • DTE version 1.1.3 installer
  • DBI / LP-2000 diagnostics installer
  • DTE update 2.002a

Procedure

Installing DTE

1. Install the DBI or LP-2000 board on any free PCI slot on the PC.
2. Insert the DTE version 2 CD into the CD-ROM drive.
3. In Windows Explorer, locate the version 1.1.3 folder on the CD drive, select Setup and double-click Setup.exe.
4. In the Dolev TiffExpose Welcome dialog box, click Next.
5. In the User Information dialog box, type your user name and company name.
6. In the Choose Destination Location dialog box, verify that the default destination is selected, and click Next.
   
7. In the Select Program Folder dialog box, enter the program folder, and click Next.
8. In the Start Copying Files dialog box, click Next.
9. In the Setup Complete dialog box, select No (do not restart computer) and click Finish.
   Dolev TiffExpose is automatically installed.
10. In Windows Explorer, in the CD drive, select the update folder and double-click UpdateDTE.bat.
11. In the DOS screen that appears, press any key, and verify that the message 1 file(s) copied appears for each file.
    The DTE files are automatically loaded.
12. Remove the CD and restart the workstation.

Note: It is recommended to make a shortcut to the Dolev TiffExpose application on the desktop.

Installing Diagnostics

Note: DBI/LP-2000 diagnostics identify the LP-2000 or the DBI board automatically.

1. Access the CD-ROM drive.
2. Select Diagnostics > DiagInstall > Setup.exe.
3. In the DBI Diagnostics Welcome dialog box, click Next, and then click Next again.
   The diagnostics setup is automatically installed.
4. Click Finish.

Running diagnostics

To run diagnostics, select Start > Programs > DBI Diagnostics > Joind_DBI.
