Removing the loading platform
conveyor
Note: The loading platform
conveyor can be removed without having to remove the loading platform
conveyor motor.
- In Magnus Controller click Raise Hood to raise
the platesetter hood:
- Make sure that the coupling on the loading platform motor is aligned
vertically with the coupling on the conveyor shaft:

- Use a 4-mm hex key to remove the four screws securing the loading
platform conveyor to the loading platform:
Caution: Be careful when
handling the screws and washers, because they can easily fall into the
platesetter.
Note: To compensate for
tolerance on Beta platesetters, a few washers are strategically
located underneath the loading conveyor, near to the drum.
- Be extra careful not to drop any of these washers inside the
platesetter.
- Reuse the washers when reinstalling the conveyor back into the
platesetter.

- Carefully remove the loading platform conveyor from the platesetter.
When removing the loading platform conveyor, make sure to push the conveyor
slightly away from the motor to avoid damaging the plastic coupling:

Installing the loading platform conveyor
Important: Unless
otherwise stated, coat all screws in Loctite® 242 adhesive.
- Slightly loosen the couplings metal screwlocated
on the loading platform conveyor shaftand then gently push the
coupling towards the shaft. This action increases the clearance tolerance
when reinstalling the loading platform conveyor.
- Install the loading platform conveyor into the platesetter. Make sure
the coupling on the conveyor shaft is aligned vertically with the coupling
on the loading platform motor.
- Attach the metal coupling (loosened in step 1)
to the plastic coupling. Make sure there is no excessive pressure exerted
onto either coupling.
- Use a 4-mm hex key to install the four screws securing the loading
platform conveyor to the loading platform.
