The robust, highly-productive Magnus™ VLF with the fully automatic Multi-Cassette Unit (MCU) offers stability, easy maintenance and superior imaging quality for very large format (VLF) web and sheetfed printers.
The robust, highly-productive Magnus™ VLF with ContinuousLoad offers automatic operation, stability, easy maintenance and superior imaging quality for very large format (VLF) web and sheetfed printers.
The Automatic Pallet Loader (APL) option for the Magnus™ VLF provides automatic loading of plates from a plate stack located on a pallet. The APL consists of a one segment, two segment, or three segment option and can be configured to support dual pallets in one bay.
The Magnus™ VLF with Multi-Cassette Unit and the Magnus™ VLF with ContinuousLoad are currently in Production.
The Magnus™ VLF with Automatic Pallet Loader is in Early Production as of November 07, 2007.
Note: For customers or marketting purposes, we do not differentiate between a Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3 device—these are service related terms only.
Series 1 devices have a TH2.7 and a TMCE board.
Series 2 devices have a TH2.5 (for S, F and V speed) or a TH3 (for X-speed), a GMCE board, and the Productivity 1.0 upgrades.
The Productivity 1.0 upgrades increase the device throughput and include upgrades to the unload table, picker/fetcher, MCU, and workstation.
Magnus VLF devices that were manufactured as Series 2 devices include the following: MT149, MT150, and MT159 onwards with the exception of MT164.
Universal carriages were only implemented on devices MT185 and later.
Series 3 devices will include the rear ventilation fans, the edge detect camera, the shuffling ejector, the weight offloading components,
a new rear hood, and an optional punch assembly. Controlled Release 4.0 will be the first controlled release that will support the new Series 3 hardware.
Magnus VLF devices that were manufactured as Series 3 devices include MT215 and onwards.
Series 3+ devices include the APL option, the plate funnel upgrade, the plate angler upgrade, and the second generation edge detect camera.
