Machines affected

This ECO is not a field upgrade. The purpose of this document is to detail the changes and how they affect servicing the machines. The first base machine to ship is TE422 and the first Proofsetter is PX096.

Machines with the following 100 labels have this version of the fanbox:

Component
Problem
  1. Fan box designed for cooling Hydra is much cheaper than previous design. The new design has been implemented in all TS8 based machines.
  2. The current access panels are causing problems in the field due to accessibility and ease of installation.
Solution(s)

Implement revised fan box across all TS8 based products.
Change to Procedures
Access to fanbox

  • Door uses a latching mechanism that is not visible from the outside. To open the door, push FIRMLY on the top of the door.
Access to fans
  • Pull out drawer makes it easy to access the fans for service.
Access to reservoir
Access to power box
  • Same door latching mechanism as fanbox
  • Mesh screen
