AC Power

Trendsetter 3244 simplified AC power distribution diagram

Electrical power enters the TS3244 through a power inlet at the fan box end. The path the AC follows is:

• electrical output box
• EMI filter
• flex track on fan box side
• safety interlock for thermal power supply
• switch/circuit breaker
• terminal blocks on DIN rail

At the terminal blocks, the AC is separated into two fused branches.

• One branch goes to the three cooling fans and blower in the fan box.
• The other branch goes to the transformer(T1) and sends 120 V AC power to the Power Distribution Board (PDB).

The PDB distributes AC power to:

• power supplies
• main drive amplifier
• card cage fan

The PDB distributes DC power to:

• card cage
• satellite boards (LU,TIF)
• exposure head

DC power distribution for the TS3244 is generated by five power supplies located in the power box:

• PS1 and PS2 are located on the floor of the power box
• PS3 and PS4 are attached to the side of the card cage in the power box
• PS5 is located on the rear wall of the power box.
