Cause 1: Safety loop is broken.
see VLF Trendsetter AL safety loop
Cause 2: Rotator is not at "home" position.
Solution (a): Check rotator for damage or wear.
Solution (b): Check the connection between the vacuum generator
solenoid and the Genine 4 board.
Solution (c): Check that the firmware has set the correct
"home" and "away" positions.
Cause 3: Rotator plate sensor has failed.
Solution a): Sensor may have failed in the off position. Check the sensor
for damage or wear.
Solution b): Check that the firmware detected the sensor signal
correctly, and that the firmware issued a stop command to the x-axis.
Cause 4: Vacuum sensor has failed.
Solution a): Sensor may have failed in the off position. Check the sensor
for damage or wear.
Solution b): Check that the firmware detected the sensor signal
correctly, and that the firmware issued a stop command to the x-axis.
Cause 5: Home or away sensor has failed.
Solution (a): Check the home and away sensors for damage or wear.
Solution (b): Check the connections between the home sensor and the
Genine 4 board. Do the same for the away sensor.
Cause 6: Plate has slipped.
Solution (a): May be due to a vacuum fault. See Diagnosing
the air supply.
Solution (b): Plate may be obstructed or poorly aligned.
Cause 7: Solenoid/valve has failed.
Solution (a): Check the solenoid for damage or wear.
Solution (b): Check that the firmware has sent a correct signal to the
rotator solenoid.
Solution (c): Check the connection between the solenoid and the Genine 4
board.
Cause 8: Vacuum is inadequate.
Solution: There may be insufficient vacuum to rotate the plate. See Rotator doesn't grab plate.
Cause 9: Rotator is damaged or misaligned.
Solution: Check rotator for damage or wear. Check alignment of rotator to
conveyor table. |
